Why is it so important to expand your awareness?
When you are truly connected to your higher self it is a sign that you are in your truth. The truth of who you are, where you want to go, how you want to achieve that. This life in the physical can produce many challenges on the way, but it you are true to you, the challenges become less and you deal with them without having the major drama or knee jerk reactions.
There can be no wrong decisions when you are listening to your inner guidance. Spirit want to guide you. They are stood by you ready to support you. It takes practice and it takes faith to listen, understand and believe the messages you are receiving. I know, as there have been so many times when I have or been tempted to go against my better knowledge (higher knowledge). Then Spirit stepped in and I knew they were guiding me down the right path.
What is that higher knowledge? It's that gut feeling that tells you something is right (or maybe wrong). The voice in your head giving you the nudge you need to step forward or the fear that you feel when you are on the verge of doing something you would never have dreamt of ever doing. It's about allowing yourself to see the signs from spirit. It's about ignoring outside pressure from peers and following your path.
I have had to learn to trust my guidance. That has taken many years and I am not perfect by any means, but my life feels so much more in flow and ease than the dramatic rollercoaster that I rode in my earlier years. My perspective on life has shifted dramatically and I see the world through a different lens. The lens of love and gratitude for all that this worldly experience is showing me.
The only thing that gets in the way are the beliefs and the programming. The years of holding onto emotional, mental and physical patterns and behaviours that are telling you that your not enough, not worthy or you can't do it.
